Yeah, I was totally singing along to Josie and The Pussycats.
Did what I hope is the final leg of my presentations to the Leads in the store and they seem to be all on board with my plans for organization and communication. Plus, it's not like they have much of a choice, but I did open the floor up for suggestions. Now its all up to everyone to work together to make my plan a successful one.
What's interesting about this is that if it doesn't work, it won't look like I failed, but rather the group as a whole failed. So its a win/win situation for me (or is that fail/fail?) in the sense that I took a gamble to create this plan, and I'm taking the gamble of placing my trust in my coworkers to carry out this plan, so if it works I win and if it doesn't work I still win because it wasn't my fault or that plan's fault due to the fact that I left it open with lots of wiggle room for adjustments.
Anyways, I shouldn't be looking at this as a win or lose type of deal, but rather as a system for success for everyone.
And again, I need to congratulate myself and accept the praise from my bosses and peers for a job well done instead of thinking I could do better (even though I could do so much better).
Day 6: Three small steps that could change the world.
Ok before I get too deep into today's topic, the first thing that popped into my head was this song:

Such an underrated movie, completely misunderstood (it was a satire, not a comedy). Plus I had a big crush on Rachael Leigh Cook, who didn't actually?
Alright, three things that could change the world.
1) Renewable energy
2) A universal healthcare system
3) A redistribution of wealth, which in doing so will help pay for government programs to benefit everyone and not just the 1%.
And now I sound like a socialist.
I also realize that these are not three small steps, but rather incredibly large ones, but unless we plan on changing the world, we gotta think big to make an impact.
Sure you can start off small, but we all have to have the same goal, if not we're wasting our time.
And by looking at the state of this country, we are so wasting it.
