This was harder than I thought it would be.
Well, I did it. I did everything I set out to do today. I cleaned, I vacuumed, and I went for a run.
The only problem is that I didn't wake up at 8am like I had planned, and I didn't really have a healthy breakfast (a bowl of Lucky Charms and a brownie).
So I made some progress and I had some setbacks, but I'm doing something about it, which is the important part.
The run was good. My pace is absolutely horrible, and I am completely out of shape, but the fact that I got out there and ran is perfect.
My time is currently 35 minutes for 3.82 kilometers or 35 minutes for 2.3 miles. It's not bad, but it's also not good. But with practice and consistency, I will have a better time. And the best part is? (if I continue with a good diet and cut out those brownies) I will lose weight! And that is the main goal here.
Ok onto today's topic!
Day 21: Five things you like about yourself.
Thank god for endorphins one get's while running because I hate this topic. I on average hate everything about myself, but I've got some good endorphins coursing through my brain right now and I'm feeling damn good (despite my horrible time), so I can stand a topic like this.

- I am a stubborn POS, and normally I find that to be a negative thing, but it is what has kept me alive. I don't give up, even when I am failing horribly and it would be in my best interest to give up. And yes I have given up in the past, but that was for survival (I'm looking at you "dropping out of college" and "leaving your job at the Gap"). But even though I'm been pushed down, knocked down, and forced to realize that I am good for nothing, I keep pushing back and I keep fighting. Like this running business, I am horrible at it, I've let my depression take over to the point where it is unhealthy, but I am pushing back because I know I am better than this. So I'm stubborn.
- My horrible sense of humor. Most people don't get it, but I make myself laugh, and even when laughing long, I'm ok with it.
- My love for the arts. I love everything about expression and the modes people use for that. Be it visual art, dance, music, or storytelling, the fact that we can express our feelings, fears, history, thoughts, philosophy, etc through something so beautiful makes this world worth living in and worth fighting for. And I live for all of it.
- My ability to grasp new things pretty fast. I adapt well, even when I don't want to. Be it new technology, a new way of living, or overall advancements in my life. I like to believe I approach everything with an open mind and accept it all with an open mind.
I can't think of a fifth thing. That is horrible.
There are only 4 things I like about myself? I can list all the things I hate or dislike about myself, but finding 5 simple things to say "Hey, I like that about me" is really hard!
Ok let's go with my sense of style. I don't practice what I preach, but when it comes to picking things out and trying my hardest to look my best, I look damn good. I have a good classic and clean sense of style, and that I really like. Even if, again, I don't practice it. The majority of the time I look like I rolled out of bed, but whatever.
