Stop Petting My Peeves

Today's post is going to give me a chance to say all the things I never get to say. I get to basically get really bitchy and I love it.

But in all honesty, I do have to watch what I say for I don't know who is reading and I don't want anyone to take offense or worse, get myself in trouble. But here we go!

Day 3: What are your top three pet peeves.

#1. I absolutely hate it when people you don't even have a decent rapport just talk and talk and talk to you about their life. Like personal things, in great detail. I know a number of people who do it and I just want to yell at them I DON'T CARE! If after knowing you for a while and I don't go out of my way to make idle chitchat, then I probably don't want to hear about your whatever. These are the same type of people who when they can't engage with one person will then try the same tactic on a room full of people, all of whom will probably just hide their noses in their cell phones so it looks like that person is just speaking to an empty room. And woe if you make the mistake of saying hello with an open-ended question.
Now I will say I'm guilty of sometimes talking a little too much to try and feel out who wants to converse with me, but if I get no bites, I'm not going to try to the point where the other person will avoid me in the future.
Guh I really hate that.

#2. People who don't do their damn jobs or care about their performance. So this all stems from working in retail, you have those who care and will give you 100% effort and who are present at all times and then you have those who are just there to collect their meager paycheck and you're lucky with they are cognizant of their surroundings. Luckily I work in a location where about 96% of the people land in the former. So I don't have to get upset by people who make my job harder, but there is always the odd duck that I have to stop myself from calling them out publically and getting really angry on the store walkie-talkie. And what is worse is I'm not the only one who notices, the rest of the staff does too and that how the whispering starts, and the offhanded comments. It gets really sticky with people like that and everything from their performance to how it is dealt with, yeah I hate all of that.

#3. Mansplainers.
Do I really need to explain that one?

Guh, now I'm all worked up and want to go pick a fight with someone. I'll take it out on my bathroom, I've scheduled myself to clean it today. bleh.
