30 fact about me is harder to write up than most of my posts.

It's like a 2 for 1 day. Two posts in one day!

So back to the snow day, what sucks is not only is it cold, but now everything is frozen, and I can't drive in this ice/snow mess. So I have to rely on my coworkers to pick me off and drop me off. I'm lucky I live very close to the store, it just sucks that I have to rely on other people.

Which brings me to today's post:

Day 18: Post 30 facts about yourself.


  1. I don't like to rely on anyone but myself. People can fail you. You failing yourself is a little harder (at times) to do, so yeah, I don't like to rely on others.
  2. I'm a DC fangirl. Never could get into Marvel, and the movies just kind of annoy me, but I've got a soft spot for DC movies and comics.
  3. I'm a picky eater. And as we learned about Capricorns, I just hate everything at one point or another, hence the picky eater.
  4. I love movies, almost to the point where if I let myself I will get lost in them and never dig my way out. It's a slippery slope.
  5. I used to be a cellist. It's been years since I've played, but that was who I was for the majority of my life.
  6. I actually enjoy making lists. It's a good way for me to focus on what needs to be done.
  7. I have terrible handwriting when I don't care what I'm writing. Meaning that unless I'm really paying attention to what I'm writing, my handing writing is horrible. I like to think that my hand does not move as fast as my brain does. But my cursive is pretty fancy.
  8. I don't like sitcoms. I like hour-long shows with drama and angst and a tad bit of humor. But outright comedy sitcoms? Nah.
  9. Coloring gives me anxiety, only because I don't know if I'm coloring things right or not.
  10. I'm a sucker for sci-fi movies. Especially if it deals with people living on spaceships doing things. The movie or show could be absolutely terrible, but I'll find something to love about it. Mind you, I never could get into Star Trek.
  11. I'm a fan of simulation games. I sadly do not have the coordination to play any other time of games. Any type of shooter game just stresses me out.
  12. I really do enjoy visual merchandising. It's fun.
  13. I collect stamps and pins.
  14. I have a terrible habit of losing contact with old friends. If we don't see each other at least once a month, you're lucky if I ever speak to you again. Unless we're friends on facebook, then we're friends forever.
  15. I hate facebook.
  16. I really like detective novels. Mysteries. I blame my love for Castle.
  17. I like to believe I have a certain wanderlust of adventure, and that it is my lack of funds that prevents me from acting on this want for more. But I'm not 100% sure that is all the case. Strange.
  18. I have no middle name.
  19. I try to be super on top of my finances, and while I pay everything on time, and never miss a payment, I still spend more than I have. I need to fix that. I'm organized, but I need more control.
  20. I've been to Disney World over 40 times. I know not many people get why anyone would want to go so many times, but it is one of the few places in the world where I feel completely relaxed. With the exception of my wallet, my wallet hates Disney.
  21. I make it a point to only watch Disney Animated films (Pixar is included with that). As I kid I did watch my fair share of Don Bluth films, but as I got older, I just didn't seem to get them. Now with Dreamworks and other animation houses putting out basically the same movie over and over, I prefer the Disney and Pixar movies.
  22. I really like Pizza. But if I could, it would be a plain cheese pizza. Oh with some garlic bread!
  23. As depressing as it sounds, I'll probably end up alone. Hell I'm 32, I will end up alone. But I'm ok with it. At least for now I'm ok with it.
  24. I'm superstitious. Not in the sense that I freakout if I don't follow certain rituals, or have specific rituals. But I do certain things every now and again to ensure that, for example, if I know I need a little extra help for a rough day at work, I'll wear my Wonder Woman shoes and socks.
  25. My love for Grey's Anatomy has lasted longer than most of my relationships (including friendships)
  26. I like green tea.
  27. I'm running out of things to list. Who knew that writing about one's self in list form is this difficult.
  28. I wish I spoke Spanish and Italian better. 
  29. I'm 5'2". I hate being short
  30. I have a collection of over 26k songs. I have no clue what half of it is. I've been cataloging and rating every track I have and deleted the ones I know I will never listen to again. It a lot of music.
Wow that was a lot harder than I thought it would be. bleh.

Be a Super.

I'm gonna be honest. I really don't feel like doing this today. I physically do not feel good, and there's a bunch of stuff currently going on behind the scenes that I just don't want to discuss in a public space. It might be like this for a while, so these posts are probably going to be short for a bit. Sorry. Day 2: A person you admire. I think I covered something similar last month, and I think I said something along the lines that people can always let you down so try not to put much hope in other people. And considering how the mighty have fallen all over, its hard to have heroes. So I'm going to go with the fictional kind. Which definition?

Day 27: Conversely, write about something that's kicking ass right now.  This feels like an AP English assignment, that is if I'm understanding the use of the word "Conversely". Most white allies would rather not use their privilege for anything other than making a small statement, although conversely some white allies will be kick ass like Jessica Chastain and use her position of power to make sure her costar Octavia Spencer be paid the same as she, using her white privilege for good. That is the standard definition and use of "Conversely" that I am aware of. Or do they mean "conversationally"? In that case: Did you guy hear how Jessica Chastain is totally kicking ass right now? From what I read online, she saw that her friend and co-star Octavia Spencer was getting the same amount of pay that she was getting for the same project.
